For the 2017 model year, the Audi R8 gets a new look and additional power. It all starts with the elimination of the V-8 engine and replacing it with the V-10, pushing its base output to 540 horsepower. On the top of the range is the R8 V10 Plus, which now cranks out 610 horsepower--a 60-pony growth. Today, Audi has revealed the pricing details on these two trims.

The 2017 R8's base price will see a significant jump to $162,900, but this is due to the potent V-10 engine taking the place of the V-8. As for the V10 Plus model, its price climbs by just $7,400 for the extra 60 horsepower it delivers over the last-gen model, putting it at $189,900.

The precise release date of the 2017 R8 remains unknown for now, but we should know something soon. Keep an eye on our a href=/new-inventory/index.htm>inventory to see when it arrives, then swing by our showroom at 123 Route 4 West Paramus, Fair Lawn, NJ 07652 for a test drive.
